Supervision is where the thinking happens, and it is almost always the meeting nobody has time to write up properly.
An hour of clinical supervision covers formulation, risk, transference and three cases you had not planned to bring. Most practitioners leave with a few phrases scrawled on a pad and a vague sense of the direction agreed. Recording client material depends on your professional body's guidance, your service's policy, your contracting with the client and explicit informed consent. GetNotes is aimed at practitioner meetings: supervision, peer consultation, team case discussions and training.
Is GetNotes a clinical record or case management system?
No. GetNotes produces meeting transcripts and structured notes — a summary, decisions and action items with owners. It is not a clinical record system, is not offered as HIPAA-compliant, and makes no clinical-accuracy claim. Anything that belongs in a client's formal record should be written into the system your service already uses.
How does this help with my CPD and supervision log?
Supervision that exists only in memory is hard to evidence.
