Meeting notes for sales teams.

Every meeting-notes tool covers the Zoom call; almost nothing covers the sales meeting that happened in a car park.

Field sales runs on conversations that no call-recording product can reach: a distributor's back office, a showroom floor, a stand at a trade show, a site survey with the operations manager who will actually use the thing. The CRM entry for those meetings gets typed in a car park from memory, badly, or three days later, worse. Recording on a phone and getting structured notes back means the follow-up email goes out with the specifics intact.

The specifics are the whole point. Which SKU, what volume, whose sign-off is needed, when the incumbent contract ends, and the objection the buyer raised almost in passing while walking you back to reception. GetNotes extracts action items with owners and deadlines where they were stated, which is closer to a usable next-steps list than the two-line summary most reps have time to write between appointments.

It also helps the manager who never gets to see the field. A rep can share the minutes of a site visit rather than a summary of a summary, so coaching is based on how the conversation actually went. Tell the customer you are recording — a phone on the table you have mentioned is a very different thing from a silent bot in a participant list.

Where it earns its keep

Four appointments and a three-hour drive

By the fourth meeting the details of the first have gone. Each visit recorded as its own meeting gives you four sets of notes with next steps and owners, so the evening's CRM update takes ten minutes instead of an hour of trying to remember which customer mentioned the budget freeze.

A trade-show stand and forty conversations

Two days of short, high-intent conversations, captured on the back of business cards in handwriting nobody can read. Recording the substantive ones means the follow-up references what was actually discussed rather than a generic thank-you that could have gone to anyone who walked past.

A site survey with the person who will use the product

The operations manager walks you round the floor and lists every constraint the buyer never mentioned. That walk is where the implementation risk lives, and it happens on foot, on site, with no call to join and nothing written down.

How GetNotes works

  1. Record or upload. Hit record on your phone or laptop in the room — or drop in an audio file you already have. No bot joins anything.
  2. It writes it down. Every word transcribed, every speaker labelled, in 90+ languages including ones that switch mid-sentence.
  3. Share the minutes.Summary, decisions, and action items with owners — ready before everyone's back at their desk.

Questions, answered

Why not just use Otter or Fireflies for sales calls?

For Zoom, Teams and Meet calls, those tools are genuinely built for the job and their bots join automatically. GetNotes exists for the meetings they cannot reach: a distributor's office, a showroom, a trade-show stand, a site walk. If most of your selling is in person, that is a structural gap rather than a feature difference.

Does GetNotes sync to my CRM?

There is no CRM integration today. You get share-ready minutes — summary, decisions and action items with owners — that you can paste into an opportunity record. In practice that is still far faster than reconstructing four meetings from memory at the end of a day in the field.

Will it work in a noisy showroom or exhibition hall?

Background noise degrades any transcription. In an exhibition hall, hold the phone close to the conversation rather than leaving it on a stand table, and step somewhere quieter for the meeting that matters. In a normal office or meeting room, a phone on the table between you is plenty.

Can I record a customer meeting without telling them?

No — tell them, every time. Recording law varies by country and by US state, and several states require everyone to consent. Beyond the law, a customer who discovers a covert recording will not buy from you again. Announcing a phone on the table is straightforward and rarely an issue.
